Description
Dulcera 4Xis a blended sweetener with 99.7% natural ingredients, erythritol and Stevia (Reb-A). The remaining 0.3% is a blend of sucralose,
Ace-K (acesulfame potassium), and neotame added to improve flavor, reduce aftertaste, and improve product safety (FDA Packet ADI).
This item is 2 pounds of Dulcera 4X in a slide lock freezer bag, delivered to your door by Priority Mail. It is milled to a typical particle size between
200 and 300 microns, about half the size of table sugar, similar to super-fine or caster sugar. This milling allows it to dissolve more easily in cold
drinks, and gives a smoother texture as desired in some food recipes.
4X
means it is 4 times sweeter than sugar. So, use only 1/4 as much. 1/4 teaspoon Dulcera 4X = 1 teaspoon sugar. Why 4X... Because that's the
standard sweetness level for diet sweeteners in the skinny sachet packets; Those packets contain 1/2 teaspoon of sweetener equaling two teaspoons
of sugar. That makes the math pretty simple; just divide your sugar amount by 4. 4X also increases the number of allowable servings. It reduces
shipping cost and shelf space, along with providing other advantages.
Compare
the Leading National Brand to Dulcera 4X:
•
Taste
In product testing, most participants preferred Dulcera to the leading brand. (But to know for sure, you'll just have to try it.)
•
Calories
The national brand is nearly 99% maltodextrin, a glucose polymer with roughly the same calories per pound as sugar, and a glycemic index of 110...
nearly twice as high as sugar
. An FTC loophole allows that bag of the leading brand to be labelled as zero calories, when
it actually contains 1100 calories
, or
220 calories per pound sugar equivalent. Dulcera 4X has just 27 calories per pound sugar equivalent, with a glycemic index of about 1, and a glycemic
load 800 times lower than the national brand. Please, ask your doctor what this means for you.

Safety
The FDA website page, "Additional Information About High-Intensity Sweeteners Permitted For Use In Food In The United States", explains the
product safety rating for diet sweeteners. This FDA rating, the Packet ADI, indicates how many daily servings (packets) are allowable. While the leading brand
(sucralose) is rated at 23, and
stevia at just 9
, the Packet ADI for Dulcera 4X is over 60. This means that almost anyone can replace 100% of their sugar with
Dulcera 4X and have no worry of exceeding the ADI. And while maltodextrin (used in the leading brand) causes tooth decay at nearly the same rate as sugar, the
erythritol in Dulcera 4X is the only diet sweetener clinically proven to reduce tooth decay, even better than xylitol. So please, ask your dentist what this means for
you.
Dulcera 4X can be used for cooking and baking, and so is suitable in most foods and beverages. Unlike aspartame, Dulcera does
NOT
decompose
into formaldehyde and methanol when warmed. Always feel free to ask for recommendations on using Dulcera 4X in homemade soda, chocolate, hot
cocoa, cakes, cookies, and even cinnamon sugar substitute. Many baking recipes do require some adjustment, experiment, and supplemental
ingredients like coconut flour. And, most turn out very good to excellent
