Vintage 1968 Hot Wheels Super-Charger Sprint Set with rough Box

Here is a vintage 1960's  era (the copyright on the box says 1968) Mattel Hot Wheels Super-Charger Sprint Set with the original box. As you can see, the box is pretty roughed up, but the contents inside are in nice and usable condition.
Here's what's included in the box:  Working Super-Charger garage (when I put in 2 D cell batteries (not included w/item). The Super Charger measures 6" x 12" x 3"
Two angled curve orange track pieces
Twelve 24" orange track pieces
One 6" track piece and one 3" track piece
One track connector (box says it was supposed to have 8, so you'll have to come up with some to use this).
The box measures 11" x 25" x 5"
As noted, there is only one track connector. There are no instructions in the box. No collectors pin or catalog.
Box is rough as pictures should show. Box was water damaged at some point and cardboard is a bit flimsy on the end pieces. There is a crease on the front side which can be seen. There is tape holding the end pieces together.
I put in 2 D cell batteries and the Super-Charger is working. There is only one track connector piece, so you'll need some of those to use this. There are no cars with this set.
